The 2nd edition of Plataran X Trail Bali Menjangan has re-designed race courses for the long and medium distances. The main race has been extended to 70 km and features more exciting and diverse scenery, as well as over 1000m of elevation gain. While still runable, the new course is therefore no longer pancake flat! Also the participants on the 30 km (previously 25km) will get to climb a number of hills, as they follow the same course as the 70km for the most part, until they turn right instead of left back into the finish at the Plataran l’Harmonie resort. The 7.2 km is meant for beginners and families, and reflects the 72th ‘birthday’ of our title sponsor BNI.
The 70km is one of five points races in Indonesia for the Asia Trail Master Championship (ATM), as well as for each runner’s individual Asia Trail Grandmaster Quest, a challenge whereby runners need to complete six ATM races of 70 km or more inside a two-year-period. Bandung’s Ruth Theresia is currently leading the women’s 2018 ATM Championship and is expected to take the start in Bali.
Registration for the event, which features much more than just a trail race, is open. We prefer online registration via Race Timing Solutions, but offline payments via local bank transfer is also possible.
